[Listening to... |Emigrate - Wake up]

Yo blog readers

I got bored of writing meaningless drivel in my LJ so I gave up. Now I am back in NZ skiing again. I thought it might be nice to tell you all about it.

The weather is beautiful and so is the scenery. Only this time the snow condtions are far far better.

...

Actually, I'm back and a CSIA level 3 (for you non-skiers out there, it means I'm pretty bloody good with a pair of skis).
Yes the skiing was awesome; which is why I keep talking about it and the photos are here for you to see.  Enjoy :)

Also I am sick of LJ boring emo blog so making the miraculous leap to MySpace live.  Liebe Eisbrecher

FLANGE!

I HATE CRAPPY HAIR CUTS! [Jun. 15th, 2006|11:38 am]
[Mental State |angryangry]
[Listening to... |Karma Code - Lacuna Coil]

just been to have my ears lowered and came away £40 poorer and a boofon on my head. WTF!!!

Soooo.... does anybody want to be my next hairdresser and give me a proper metal hair style. Style being the operative word here, as I currently have none!!

When I mentioned that I had just got back from download festival .... ya know bands like Metallica... and tool . Ok try some other names... cradle of filth? dragon force? satyricon? inflames? ... You must have heard of the Prodigy? I realised that the conversation had taken a turn for the worse and maybe I was going to get a pair of sissors in my eye.

I seriously had no idea how scared of metal some people are. Maybe she thought I was some sort of devil worshiper and wanted to steal her soul? AND SHE STILL HAD THE GUTS TO CHARGE ME FORTY FUCKING QUID FOR A LOUSY HAIR CUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooh How Exciting! [Feb. 19th, 2006|08:29 pm]
[Mental State |satisfiedsatisfied]
[Listening to... |Hotel California - The Eagles]

Last weekend was of course Chaz's Birthday and everyone was ordered to come in fancy dress.  As some sort of cartoon charactor from our childhood, so I came as the Mad Hatta from Alices' Adventures in Wonderland.  Other classics that were there included the super mario bros, the ghost busters (awesome costume) complete with a green ghoulie.  Mr. Spoon, several simpsons... some better than others; although by about 11 they all looked aenemic. Fry (childhood?) Anyway a very intersting evening - thanks for another great party guys :)

This weekend I basically had nothing lined up, but I got a call late on saturday afternoon with an invite to the Liverpool beer festival.  Held in the crypt of the new Roman Catholic Cathedral (a.k.a paddy's wigwam) there were hundreds of beers on tap to sample.  I drank halves to ensure that I tryed as many as possible.  Choosing which one to try next was done by how much I liked the name.  I avoided pale beers and stouts coz mainly I dont like tham as much as medium or fruity bitters but also they are more expensive.

Climbing today, I tryed my first 6b for several years.  I got 5 clips off the floor and bailed out, a very tricky route but one I shall definatly go back and try to finish even if I have to it one clip at a time.  I am very tired no so good night.

5 weeks  6 days  10 hours  Unitl I next go Skiing :)  HOORAY!

DRAGON FORCE [Jan. 31st, 2006|07:52 pm]
[Mental State |rejuvenatedrejuvenated]
[Listening to... |Ozric Tentacles]

Perhaps this is a few days late, but ya know what - puff and stuff - I don't really care.  The gig was awesome so you can damn well read on!.... enjoy :p

urmm...... yeah well. I visited Chris in Nottingham over the weekend (where else? you may ask) Chris had to do a bit of shopping so we stayed and met up with Bruno and Phil (house mates) to watch Jarhead.  It was the most interesting film about nothing I have ever seen.  There was no story, there was no action, everyone was bored, they made no serious political statements that we hadnt already pondered some years ago, but none the less it was an entertaining film.

Go see it

The evening involved video games - namely Killer Seven (really really wierd) and Burnout <arrgh! my eyes are bleeding!> several cups of tea and cheerful banter with a bunch of people whom I have only ever conversed with in an alcohol muddled state.

Sunday - Sleep-in followed by further video games and a cooked breakfast from Bruno. (aspiring master-chef?) Phil (physicist friend of Chris) came over early evening and the pair of them decided that as a visitor to Nottingham I needed to see (and drink in) all of their favourite bars. The themed dungeon/gothic bar was a little dissapointing, mainly because they forgot my meal.  The church was awesome and long beach ice-tea is really nice.  Another bar - more cocktails and things start to blur a little.  ahh yes, where was I?

Rock City: not a huge venue, prob not more than 2K ppl.  DF played a killer set of nearly 2hours, I pushed my way to the front and bounced and jostled with about 200 other sweaty bodies to the sound of Li and Sams Krazy solos - I even managed to take a few awesome photos :) The volume of mixed alcoholoic drinks in my advanced stage of refreshment meant that my stomach could take no more so I backed off for the end of the set.  Phil had never heard and DF before and seemed mildly impressed. ZP Thearts charisma and stage presence makes the whole show.

It has been too long since my last gig - I need more..... ummm fighting with wire? nine black alps? inflames + sepultura? I wonder.....

Angel? [Jan. 21st, 2006|10:15 pm]
[Mental State |curiouscurious]
[Listening to... |Edguy - Hall of Flames]

Live in virtue, no desire
In the grave an angel's choir
You look to heaven and wonder why
No one can see them in the sky

Just as the clouds have gone to sleep
Angels can be seen in heaven's keep
Alone in fear they question why
Goddamn not an agel when I die

Angels live, they never die
Apart from us, behing the sky
They're fading souls who've turned to ice
So ashen white in paradise

Just as the clouds have gone to sleep
Angels can be seen in heaven's keep
Alone in fear they question why
Goddamn not an agel when I die

Goddamn an angel when I die
Heaven must be hell in the sky

A day of random things [Jan. 20th, 2006|10:33 pm]
[Mental State |sleepysleepy]
[Listening to... |Through the Fire and the Flames - Dragon Force]

  1. Fives, do you remember playing that game at school? Outside the math block.  Extra points were scored if you got the ball through the hole and back out without it leaving the playing area.  I recall a competition we once had, more of a league really; Rosin and I were the only girls who played.
  2. We started engingeering drawing today.  I discovered, although unsuprisingly, that I am pants at manual drawing and streets ahead with computer aided design.
  3. My desk is a mess.  How can any self respecting student find anything in this junk-yard?
  4. My printer is really great.  I printed off some (rammstein) tabs for me to practice playing on  guitar and the colour photos of the band surrounding the text came out superb quality.
  5. My speakers are a waste of valuable desk space.  Inhuman Rampage is an excellent album and my white cubiods of plastic and wire mesh just will not do it justice.  DF's home movie is a joke on the other hand.
  6. I think my left arm is going to fall off. <_> Pass the codine...
  7. Phrase of the week: "I'm about 8% happy"
  8. Kruspe-Bernstein is guitar genius

good night, sleep tight, don't let the bugs bite.

coz if they do, I'll get my shoe.....

And whack 'em 'til they're black and blue!

I wasn't going to put this in coz it stealing from Giles (again!) ^_^
but this suprised me....

Your Social Dysfunction:
Happy

You're a happy person - you have a good amount of self-esteem, and are socially healthy. While this isn't a social dysfunction per se, you're definitely not normal. Consider yourself lucky: you walk that fine line between 'normal' and being outright narcissistic. You're rare - which is something else to be happy about.

What gives anyone the right to..... [Jan. 14th, 2006|08:52 pm]
[Mental State |confusedconfused]
[Listening to... |Wonder Whats Next - Chevelle]

First things first.... www.eatonair.co.uk is now officially extinct. Not to worry, my email still works just fine - just we dont pay so much to active24 :)

I am now back at uni. Under normal circumstances this would be a good thing, but I must have been giving out Liam vibes coz I was set upon by a local 'scally'. Some particullarly obnoxious hobbit-looking yobo hit me round the back of the head with a shoe box! It didn't particullarly hurt but it really suprised me and I didn't know how to react - I didn't even see it coming. No eye contact was made and no verbal exchange took place. I decided to be the bigger person and just walk away as soon as he said "you bust my fucking handle mate." He then ran after me and was about to punch me in the face when my friend Rach pushed him away - "no! don't do that, you dont hit girls!" and he ran away.

Odd? yes.
Scared? yes
Ever going out after dark again without lots of other people? YES!

On a much brighter note, I have a well stocked cupboard, lectures start monday, and I have at least 4 gigs lined up over the next semester. ^_^

[Listening to... |Feur Frei - Rammstein]

You know the explosion in Hemel at 6.05 a.m. Sunday? Apparently it woke my parents and blew open the eaves cupboard door in my bedroom! Mighty!!

TV reporter says "the westerly wind is blowing the pall of petrol smoke (from fuel dump fire) over High Wycombe". Who taught him geography?!

The other good one was the industry expert interviewed on tv who stated that the Jet A1 had exploded because diesel is so much more volatile than petrol. Where on earth do they find these twats?
